The building was restored according to an integral restoration method. Each decorated ceiling has been carefully restored rather than re-decorated. This ensured the truthfulness of the original intentions of the first architects that designed and decorated Palazzo Previtera. On the ground floor, old barrel rooms have been converted into exhibition spaces and spaces for educational activities for high school and university students
